I cant verify if this is true, but why not just buy a short throw shifter for the accord, alot cheaper and easier

maybe i'll go to the junkyard and get a shifter to test it out on, would hacking down the shifter also shorten the throw???

Shorter shift lever = shorter throws. But be prepared to rethread the end of the lever to get a **** threaded back on. There's a couple good DIY's w/ pics around.

Here's a DIY on how to cut the shifter and thread it so your stock **** will fit: http://filtsai.com/accord/cut_shifter/index.php
Finch did an improvement on this, as well as his own DIY write up with pics, but I couldn't find it in the few minutes I searched.

If you want to buy an actual shorter stick with adjustable throws, PSPEC makes them (they cost about $200 though)
