Problem with CD Player - 1998 Accord

Hey everyone,
I have a 1998 Accord EX. It has a stock cd player/fm radio with the 6-disc cd changer. Its winter, of course, so my battery died today. When I got a jump I got back into my car to discover my cd player and radio don't work. At first it displayed the words "CODE" and I pressed a few buttons trying to get it to work, but now it says "ERROR" with a small capital E in the right hand corner. I cant switch between cd, the 6 disc changer, or the radio. I looked in my owner's manual, but it does not describe this problem. Does anyone have any idea of what happened? My battery completed died today (no juice at all, even the clock did not work) so would it have something to do with this?
Thanks for any advice!

I would disconnect the battery and reconnecting to reset the radio again. The "CODE" thing is a security feature to prevent thieves from using the radio after they steal it. You should have a little sheet in the documents that came with the car with the radio code on it.

I can't help with the radio code, but please don't put your email in clear text. It's a SPAM magnet - not only for you but for the whole site.
People can PM you.
Better yet...
click USER-CP
browse around for a setting that says something like "ALLOW USERS TO EMAIL YOU".
Then when someone clicks your username, one of the choices will be "SEND EMAIL".

I am having the same problem.. except I replaced the battery. It is a 98 Accord.
code in the glove box is :M97A167618
It would beep and let me put in a "code" now its quit doing that entirely and just say the "code e" any help would be appreciated. I really don't want to/can't afford to take it to a dealer.

You don't say where you're located, but in USA you can register at the ownerlink site.
www dot ahm-ownerlink dot com
With your VIN, I think that site will have a way to get your radio code on line.
