Default Radio code

I have a 2006 accord lx. Recently My radio/CD player volume stopped working. The rest of the functions seem to operate normally. (Tuner changes station, cd loads, etc)
I am going to purchase a used radio from an internet site. The site states that they do not have the unlock code for any of the radios.
How do I find the unlock code without the VIN number?

Thank you for the help.

Mark

There should be a sticker with a serial number for your car. The dealership will be able to use that to get the code.

Verify that the unit has a serial number sticker. Call the dealership before you buy to be sure that they will give you the code with just the serial number.

Thank you. I called a dealer and it sounds like the parts dept will supply the code free of charge..
