Unhappy rain leaking into car

When it rains, or I wash the car, water leaks from the base of the windshield wiper area to the inside of the car by the driver's feet, and then puddles on the floorboard. Any ideas on why this is happening and how to stop it?

Thanks for joining the HAF..
Your question is hard for even a car body shop to find, leaks because water finds it's way in from anywhere the water hits up there.

Start by looking for any obvious areas that seem to be pulled away from the seals 1st..

It might be a faulty windshield installation. However this would have been present since windshield was installed.

Another possibility that is relatively easy to check. The cowl drains water from windshield down through a drain sump beneath the cowl. If the openings became blocked it might be possible for water to back up and enter cabin through firewall penetrations. I've heard of this on other cars (BMW's) and it may be possible for Accords. Pour a qt of water into cowl and see if it immediately drains to ground. If not, remove cowl cover for complete inspection.

good luck

i have to agree with Tex,,,,,,,windshield sealant at low windshield base ,,
use some duct tape, tape all the lower area, get a water hose and spray water all over the lower windshield area see if it still leaks inside ,,
