Rear Door Panel Removal - 99 Accord
[align=left]Anyone have any clues about removing the rear door panels from a 99 Accord?
Is the entire door panel removed as a single piece or in stages?
After removing the screws that attach the interior handle and PW switch assy to the door shell, I'm drawing a blank. I tried pulling on the lower panel, but these are made of breakable plastic (easily ~$60 from a dealership, I figure).
Got a couple of weak door lock actuators that need replacement. Don't want to break any expensive parts repalcing a $45 actuator.
Thanks

I've got a parts breakdown if that might help you;
there might be a screw to find thru the door latch hole I think, and screw #18 under a trim part in the door pull.
And if I remember correctly the latch assy, has to be removed to get the lock actuator off because there is a screw on the under or back side.

Electrom Man. Took mine off this weekend. Both actuators were failing. Just start prying around the door panel and the plastic connectors will pop free. I thought the same as you but none of mine broke on my '99. Found both sides for $58 at www.majestichonda.com. Or just google "honda parts" and you'll find them for about $22 to $25. If you already have fixed yours, let me know how it worked out. I'm waiting on the parts now. mdrobtx

RE: Rear Door Panel Removal - 99 Accord
Thanks to everyone for the help.
After a few attempts at trying to remove those stubborn panel retainer clips, I poked my hand/arm into the hole that was left after removing the pull handle/power window switch assy. Wedging a wrist between the door shell and the interior panel, causes the retainer clips to pop loose easily.
The actuators both work fine. I'm gonna take the latch portion out of the door shell and apply some grease to the moving parts. Once the latch assy. gets ~5-6 years of age on it, the force required to unlock the latch apparently exceeds what the actuator can supply.
