Rear strut replacement at 40K miles?

Default Rear strut replacement at 40K miles?

2007 Accord 4cyl.
Is this a warantee item?
Is this normal?
Should you replace both?
Any guesses as to cost?

i would say that that should be under warranty. if i was u i would have them both replaced since one went out already who knows how long till the other one goes out

It's rather important that they match side-to-side, so that's another reason to replace both.

if it is past 36k miles it is out of warranty.....
NO....it is not normal that they go bad this soon

replace them as a pair

Who told you that you need struts ?? ..if it was midas, brake master or any other of these quick oil change, brake , struts places ,,,i would have a second opinion ..

as for the cost it depends if you go with Honda or non-factory struts..........

if it needs them ,, get a set of KYBs ,, good quality , cheaper than factory

on final note,,,,,you might want to talk to Honda of America and express your feeling that they should last a lot longer than 40k,, Honda might help you out
