Remove the cover, remove the screws.

You may mean "how do you remove the anchor adhesively attached to window?" Good question.

A quick google search didn't reveal any immediate answers. You may want to try additional searches using keywords "auto mirror adhesive removal". This is your best bet to find some experience w/ this problem.

If you don't find any experienced advice, I would suggest trying removal by slowwwwly warming the bonded anchor plate w/ a heat gun. Too much heat may cause the window itself to crack from thermal expansion. But 150-250 F warming plus a little prying may get the job done. Try gradually warming and gentle prying till it lifts.

good luck

The 96 mirror is screwed into the roof.

They don't have the adhesive on the windshield.

Follow Chiovnidca's advice
