Hey everyone! I'm new to HAF because I'm trying to figure something out but having a surprising amout of trouble: I have searched the internet for hours trying to find information on rear view mirror repair, specifically in a 2001 Accord. I think searching for any Honda model would work because I doubt the mirrors vary.

In an unfortunate event, I managed to knock off my mirror, "button" and all. I've already purchased the repair kit, but cannot find any method to remove the button from the mirror in order to reattach it. Does anyone know how this can be done?

 

Not all Honda's are compatible... the 94-97 rear views are attached to the headliner using screws... our 98-02 models are adhered to the glass.

Enough history, the "button" should slide out of the mirror, you may need to use a screwdriver to pry it out.
