Default Rebuild Title

Hey guys, not sure if I'm posting in the right section but I'm looking to help my son get a new car. We're looking at a couple of Accords ('04 and '05) that have salvage titles. Both had front or side impacts but appear to have been repaired correctly. No airbags were deployed. They drive straight and don't appear to be eating up tires from misalignments. How much would you take off the Blue Book value of around $7K if it had a salvage title?
Thanks,
Brent

Thats a little hard to say as I dont think there is an exact way to calculate that. Are u buying from a private party?

I believe if a car has a salvage title you cant get full coverage (insurance) but i could be wrong there.

Id say a car loses 15-20% of its value being salvaged....assuming it has been repaired correctly and there is no permanant damage (like frame damage).

Also don't expect to ever resell it for any reasonable amount.

Thanks, Carsick. I was thinking in the neighborhood of 20-30%.
