I have this sticker under my hood it says somthing about the car having a remote conrtol starter and their being a switch under the dash that turns it off. I just bought the car and nobody said anythin about a remote starter.

How do I check if I have one?
If I have one where do I get a remote control.
Where is this under dash switch... what does it look like?

 

is there a brand name on the sticker? I.E. bulldog or Cobra or something? I personally don't know of any remote starter that's installed stock.... another giveaway is that some of them have a hood pin switch... look along the front part of the car under the hood for a little post that sticks straight up and would be depressed when the hood closes. If you have that then there's another indicator that you do have a remote car starter or DID have one at some point that was aftermarket...

 

No name it just looks like a under hood factory sticker. I'll post a pic when i get a chance...

 

do you have any indicator lights (a little red LED mounted somewhere) inside the car to suggest a car alarm system as well? and take a look for that hood switch as well... my car is a 94 ex and I have that hood switch in there (it's disconnected) from a previous install... my guess would be that someone installed it then had it removed before they sold the car... I don't know of any honda's that come or came stock with a remote car starter.... just my thoughts..

 

no led besides the anti-theft one on the stock sterio, no hood switch, could it be that maybe honda canada ofered a remote start and the us market didn't? If there is a unit in there somewhere were should i start looking for it do you think?
