Default Removing cruise control!?

i got a 92 accord lx that im using for figure 8 racing. im trying to make extra room in engine compartment. wondering if i can remove the cruise control unit that is behind the drivers side headlight. if i remove it, will it mess with how the car runs because of the vacuum lines? If not, do i need to plug the vacuum lines or just leave it? Any how-to's would be great. Thanks

It shouldn't be too difficult to remove. I would look at the Online Manuals thread in the DIY section. I posted a link to a site with a 91 accord shop manual.

I would pull off a vacuum hose and see if it is pulling a vacuum with the engine idling. I think that there is usually a sticker under the hood showing the vacuum hose routing. You may want to trace the vacuum hose back to its origin then plug it there as long as nothing else uses that vacuum line.

You'll need to plug the vacuum hose. Either plug it out there where you take it off the CC unit, or if you feel like following the hose back to where-ever it branches, plug it there.
