Angry Replaced my side marker lights today - now turn signals don't work!

Received two new side marker lights today in the mail. Only one was broken (cracked plastic) but the other one was scratched up. Decided to get two new ones so they were both shiny and new.

After installing them, I went to check everything out and found that my turn signals no longer work. Not only on the new side marker lights but in back and below the bumper in front as well!

In my testing I did find the new units work when I turn on the parking lights (turning the lights **** only one spot) and they also work when I turn on the hazards -- everything blinks as it should.

What have I done? Do you think it's a fuse?

I noticed when I took the old driver's side unit out that it was not lighting up. I didn't notice that before.

Thanks for any advice. Kind of scared of driving without working turn signals!

Just to be clear what a side marker light is, it is #25/29 in this illustration.

Okay, to confirm: Bulbs work, hazard work, etc. except turn signals?

If so, it may possibly be the turn signal/hazard relay located in the driver's side under dash fuse/relay box.

Yep that's the situation.

I'll check it out.

I checked it out this morning. Turns out I had bent two of the prongs coming out of one of the bulbs so they were touching each other, causing a short. My fault.
