Replaced starter now car wont stay running
Hey guys first post here, so I want to say thank you to everyone who participates on this website and thank you for any information you can hand out to help me out.
Ok so this weekend I replaced my starter in my 04 Accord EX 4 cyl. and I started it up fine right after so I was all happy I had succeeded in doing this. It wasn't until this morning that I went to pull out of my driveway and I had only made it about 10 feet before my car stalled out and shut down. It would idle as long as I wanted, but once put into gear, it would shut down. I made sure all electricals were plugged in and hoses were connected so im really lost on what it could be. Any help is great help, thanks again!

yes my check engine light is on, and I can rev it up as much as I would like to lol but the only other thing I seem to find is when I turn it over, it revs up more than usual then drops very low for a split second then back to normal and sounds fine, constantly idling at normal rpm's

Hi guys, so time was of the essence and couldn't wait to go through scanning and finding out certain codes or whatever, so I kind of panicked and got the car towed to my Honda/Acura specialist. I wish I went and checked over all of the plugs I had unplugged because I got charged $54 for them to unplug something and plug it back in correctly, literally. The guys are this shop are awesome though and didn't try to blow me out of the water with a huge bill. I was happy to see it was only $54 and not $540 after spending $150 to replace the starter and knocker sensor on my own instead of $600 to have them do it. Thanks everyone on this board for taking the time to reach out and help me, and I will be back on the next issue, because even though it is a Honda, we all know there is a problem in the near future. Oh yah as I was leaving the mechanic, he says my software needs updating because the idling is off when it comes to warming up in hot/cold weather. They suggest to get it updated for $108, any suggestions on that one? Thanks!

Hey guys, so I got the problem fixed by my mechanic because I panicked and I wish I didn't because all he did was unplug an electrical and plug it back in for $54 and reset the CEL for me. Whatever still saved over $300 doing the job myself and replaced the knock sensor while I was under the intake mani.. thanks again guys!
