I have an electrical fault in my abs modulator assembly, picked up a good junk yard pull. But.... I'm wondering if I can get away with just replacing the electronic piece that bolts onto the metal body/manifold. Can that be separated in the car without draining the brake fluid? See attachment.

Id say you are safer swapping out the entire part.
