Default Replacing manual passenger side mirror in 1997 Accord DX

Has anyone replaced a manually operated passenger side door mirror, such as I have in my 1997 Accord DX?

The OEM mirror arrived without an adjustment handle, and apparently, I'm expected to remove the handle from the old, damaged mirror and attach it to the new one.

However, this proves to be a complicated process, requiring disassembly of the old piece and dealing with hardware that does not fit properly into the new mirror. And even if the pieces fit, it would require a leap of faith to hope the mechanism syncs up with the hidden hardware in the new mirror.

I'm attaching photos. Should I even bother to continue this process, or just try to find a complete mirror, handle included, in the junkyard?

Photos display:

1) Old mirror, attached to passenger door
2) Old mirror, disassembled, handle hardware exposed (gasket removed)
3) New mirror, with slot for handle (gasket attached)

Thanks for any assistance.

Get another one, don't do all that. Looks like you can get on Rock auto w/the handle for like $30-40. Or as you said try junk yard/eBay.
