Replacing Original Lug Nuts
I have the original lug nuts, plus a Honda wheel lock, on each wheel.
I want to replace all the lug nuts, as the wheel locks aren't needed.
Two part question:
1) Is there a problem replacing the lugs at this point, i.e. will new lugs sit properly/fasten properly on the original threads?
2) Should I buy 4 sets of lug nuts from Honda?

1. There will be no problem with them fastening.
2. Unless you need all four lug nuts for the appearance of an aftermarket rim), I would only replace locks. I would only replace the a lug nut if it is stripped. The dealership ones will be fine.

Original wheels?? I'm guessing not, because the LX probably came with steelies which you wouldn't really need locks.
If not, then you have to worry about what kind of seat the lugs have. It MUST match the wheel.
Spherical seat = stock steel or stock aluminum wheels
Conical seat = many aftermarket aluminum wheels
Flat seat = not so common any more that I've seen...

Along with all of that, they have to match the threads of the wheel studs. With factory lug nuts, you don't have to worry about that.

I had a '94 Acura with Aluminum Wheels. I decided to get winter tires mounted on steel wheels, and I used the lug nuts from the aluminum wheel. Genius right?
Well, I forgot one critical fact: Steel wheels are a fraction of an inch thick, but the aluminum wheels are significantly thicker. So when I fastened the lug nuts, I was one happy camper except when I went to take the lug nuts off in the spring, I couldn't get them off. It didn't make sense. I used a nut cracker on one, and it dawned on me: the lugs were long enough that without the thickness of the aluminum wheel, I tightened the lug nuts down too far to get them snug and they "mushroomed" inside the lug nut.
I had to take it to my local garage where they replaced all the lugs. He laughed and said it happened all the time with Hondas and Isuzus.
So yes, you'll need different lugs.

Not necessarily. With my 95 Integra GSR, I got steelies for winter and the factory lug nuts fit OK. The factory nuts will *usually* work for steelies, otherwise they'd have to give you different nuts for the steel disk of the spare tire.
