Default Replacing seals with CV Axle Job

This has probably been answered before but I can't seem to find a general consensus- how common is it to replace seals when doing the CV Drive Axles? Also, I am assuming this is the "Drive Axle Seal" and not the "Main/Output Shaft" Seal?

I dont wan't do skip this step and create a larger problem in the future, but I don't want to tamper with something that isn't obviously damaged.

TIA

I do not believe replacing seals is at all common; I've never done it and don't know any shop which recommends it. That said, when doing timing belt service, I always recommend new cam seals along with everything else typically done when addressing the belt.
