Rocker Arm Shafts (valve cover bolt)
hello, i went to replace the valve cover gasket on a 92 accord 2.2 , and snapped one of the bolts off that is also the rocker arm shaft for the valve cover bolt, is it ok to just pull the rocker arm shaft bolt and replace it with one from the junkyard and drop it in?without hurting anything,or taking everything apart, trying to do it without taking everything apart and readjusting the valves and torquing everything back, thanks for the info

RE: Rocker Arm Shafts (valve cover bolt)
I would replace the bolt and torque to spec (16 ft-lbs for 8mm bolt which I think your's is). Loosening this one bolt should not cause a problem. There is another bolt a very short distance behind this bolt.
Technically, it is supposed to be torqued in sequence w/ the other valve train assy bolts (18 bolts!). In my view, you are likely to run into more problems w/ loosening the entire valve train and retorqueing than installing that single bolt and retorquing, but your call.
good luck
