If honda is the only one who has serviced the car, I would talk to HOA and see if they will offer some assistance.....

was there a hole in the air filter?

that is a link to a few pics of the engine and screws removed from the engine. No their were no noticeable holes in the filter

Then that had to come from somewhere internally. Call Honda of America, because I think that you have a case.

just as an update our insurance is now looking into possibly doing a metallurgy test on those screws to determine if they are Honda screws or from some other source.

thatll work if anything. man that sounds horrible. if honda doesnt take responsibility shame on them. on another thought your spark plugs havent been changed, checked have they?

still have original spark plugs from manufacture. Plus the only one who has checked the spark plugs is Honda doing the routine maintenance on the car.
