What does it mean when they say they have a lifetime warranty with the seat belt? My seat belt light blinks and keeps beeping few seconds after i close the door. How can we troubleshoot my seatbelt issue? Thanks again guys.

^ No, I don't want to do that; wouldn't be prudent, I'm not going to do it.

Read hondamatics post that tells you how to do it.... ain't no need for name calling, we're a nice friendly forum full of people everywhere from 16 to 60 and so we welcome anyone who has something to add but if you would like to be impolite or inappropriate please feel free to go somewhere that they allow that type of behavior....

. I would tell someone to wear the seat belt but if they dont want to then thats their problem.
I beg to differ,,, but if you were to get in an accident IT IS YOUR PROBLEM ..and the insurance company won't be so kindly to dish out money once they find out seat belt was not hooked up ...
Politely ask them to wear the seat belt or they cannot ride in your car ,, ..........I tell them all the people who ride on my car ,, as soon as they get in to

Please put your seat belt on if they want to ride in my car

Hi,
Of course one should wear their seatbelt. In the case that you are like me and you just don't want an inanimate object telling you what to do, but would like to be responsible in your own right without being blackmailed into it through irritating coersion, the following steps can be taken to disable the alarm without wire cutting or splicing:
1) Buckle your seatbelt and turn the ignition key on.
2) Within 60 seconds, you turn the ignition switch off and unbuckle the seat belt.
3)Turn the ignition switch back on and wait for the seatbelt warning light to turn off.
4) Within 60 seconds, you buckle and unbuckle the seat belt at least 3 times, ending with the seat belt buckled.
5)Turn the ignition key off, and a single chime sounds to indicate that you have accomplished your goal.

Be careful, and make the responsible decision, but do it because its smart not because of coersion.

Thanks.

Totally agree with what was said above.
I’ve tried those steps, it didn’t work for me. 2007 Accord EX-L with NAVI.

Thanks,
Looking forward for any response.

Here's an idea ..... go to the junkyard and cut buckles off of a similar car. When you don't want to hear the chime, buckle in the fake.

phuongusrocks: I agree with DH. That kind of attitude is not welcome here. Next time you want to post something like that, print it out, roll it up real tight and stick it .......... (use your imagination, family show)
