I have an 03' Accord, 6 cylinder with about 65000 miles. Last week after the car was driven for about a half hour it went into limp mode.Brought it to my local mechanic and he found no codes. It took a number of test rides to repeat the problem He thought it was a transmission problem and he actually recommended taking it to Honda because they offered a better transmission warranty. Took it to Honda (towed) and they too couldn't replicate the problem. Service guy felt it might be the accelerator throttle sensor (not sure if that is accurate name) but would test the tranny under load hooked up to the computer. That is being done today.
Has anyone had similar issue? I don't want to pay for stuff that isn't the problem.

PS The car was riding fine up til that point and I am aware of the transmission problems the 03' and 04' Accord had. I did have the transmission cooling issued fixed when Honda did the recall.
