Default shaky steering wheel

We bought a new 12 accord se last sept. In the last 2 months or so my wife has noticed (me too) when the brakes are lightly applied at almost any speed over 30-40 mph there is a slight wobble in the wheel. Have had it in to the dealer twice and they cannot replicate the shake. It doesn't do it all the time though which doesn't help matters.. If it had warped rotors it would do it all the time whenever the brakes were used. anyone have this problem with their 12 SE?? Also had some hesitation in the throttle about 4- 5 times. Just falls flat when accelerator is applied??? ever had that happen too?? Dealer has done all the diagnosing they say they can do, I wonder what I can do now to have them get the car right?? Still under warranty that's for sure. Thanks a bunch!!

still could be brake rotors. may only happen at certain temperatures. do you or your wife drive with 2 feet, anotherwords, do you use your left foot to brake as well? reason i ask is that this car is a drive by wire which means the computer controls all aspects of the accelerator. it knows when you have the brake applied and when you try to accelerate simultaneously the computer defaults to the safer action which is braking. have seen others have the same problem.

Is it very strong vibration? If not, go to the DIY section & look for something I wrote about "bedding-in" new brake pads. I've occasionally had success doing that without replacing anything - so it's basically free to try it.

In particular read the part about holding the brakes at a full stop while they are hot.

Thanks for the replies!! I just got back from a test drive with my better half and i did get the shaky wheel with light to moderate pedal pressure at around 50mph and above. I got the rotors pretty warm too. I kinda think that the rotors may a little warpage, not 100% sure though. I'm gonna call the servce dept tomorrow and have a talk with SM to find out what he has to say next. Thanks for the advice

My car has nearly-worn out rear pads and it only wobbles under braking between 55-65 mph. Anything above or below that and the wobble is gone.

Honda found the problem with my wobble. They resurfaced the rotors and all is good. Still don't know how they got warped though only 14k miles thanks for the replies.. Kevin
