side mirrors and the difference between japan-made and us-made

Default side mirrors and the difference between japan-made and us-made
My fiancee busted the passenger side mirror on her accord and was told on the phone that she had to get a special mirror because her accord was manufactured in japan instead of the US and aparantly the electronics in the mirrors are different? anybody got any details or insights?

they probably are different. Check out rockauto.com. They should have both and are as cheap as anyone.....
