Slight metallic rattle from driver's side of engine under acceleration
There is a slight metallic rattle from the driver's side of the engine under acceleration from about 2,500 to 3,500 rpms. It only happens under acceleration, I've had multiple people look at it who can't find anything, has anyone experienced a similar problem? 2006 honda accord 2.4l 4-cylinder
Noises are tough to diagnose over the web. To me a rattle at a certain rpm range would mean something loose like a heat shield for the cataytic converter or something with the exhaust. Years ago my former 95 accord would rattle at certain rpms. I found the a barely noticable hairline crack on the converter heat shield from the bolt hole to the edge. I'm not saying to go out and replace the heat shield, but this is something you should inspect.
There is a good eric the car guy video on youtube from years ago on trying to find noises that gives a lot of helpful tips. The noise on your car could be from any of the items covered in the video.

Thanks I'll check out that video. I was thinking it might be a heat sheild also but with it only making that noise when you hit the gas it's hard for me to look for it myself. I'll see if I can get someone else to rev it for me while I look tomorrow.
