Smog, barely passed...questions...
Hello gurus!!! I have a 93 accord ex coupe, auto. I love my car, it's my commuter, my run around car....it has 295k miles. Runs like a champ, has a few leaks, but they are livable, I've fixed most, but still a drop or 2 of oil. I tuned it up last jan/feb 2013. I did change the plugs to oem's about 4 mos ago. I had some plat's in there, but was told just go with oem. I just had the oil changed 2 weeks ago, and replaced the air filter and pcv valve 1 week ago. I did change the 02 sensor last jan, because my CE light came on and the code told me to. Now questions. I've put 45k in between smogs. It barely passed, can someone point me in the right direction, so that I don't have to get rid of it in 2 years, when it fails smog. The guy at the smog shop said my cat could be going bad. anyways, here's the readings. let me know what you think.

from my readings between the years, there are some BIG differences.... what needs to be fixed, cleaned and or replaced to get those #'s back into normal ranges... if it barely passed, who's to say it's gonna pass in 2 years??

X2 on cleaning the EGR ports first.
Your accord is a little bit more difficult, as you need a slide hammer. You can make one using a socket and a long wood screw and washer.
Here is a thread on how to do it. We can provide more advice as well.

Bondo makes a slide hammer that works perfectly. Then you just pick up a plug set from Honda. It's like $10 or so tops.
Then you just need a drill bit that is slightly smaller than the screw that comes in the slide hammer and you're good to go. It's about 2 hours for a novice.

ok, where do I get this hammer? online? and here's some pix, because I have questions...do I take off the IAC and the other thing that is sticking out of the TB? Also my caps are hollow??? look at the pix, lastly, about 3 weeks ago, I took off the top of the IACV and screwed down the inside. (I think I read to do that somewhere) anyways, my car doesn't idle HIGH anymore when it warms up, is that good or bad? how do I post a pic?
