Default Speedometer Problems Again!

I am having the same problem with the speedometer needle getting stuck around 10 mph and not regestering the correct speed. I replaced the cluster assembly earlier this year with a used unit from Ebay and I am now having the same problem. Both the odometer and the cruise control works so this points to the speedometer as the fault, correct? Being an electronic tech I understand that the VSS sends out pulses to the unitand with so many units going bad there must be a common fault. Anyone had success repairing their speedo?

speedo's are built to be tamper proof/resitant so I doubt you can repair it. this sounds odd but try reseting your trip odometer and see if that helps. and yes it sounds like a speedometer issue to me. I'd probably just buy one with a warranty or buy OEM honda and depending on what year your car is it may be a common issue

My speedo would get stuck at 20mph, and the odometer and tripometer would not work.

All other gauges worked fine. I sent my speedometer off to a speedometer repair shop (google search for one), and they repaired it. It cost around $120 and the speedometer has been fine ever since then.
