The fuel level and the low fuel light use different wires, so I would check that the connector is clean and secure for it. Also, there is a ground nearby that you may want to clean and tighten.

You speedometer problem sounds like the ones common for 94-97 accords. This is pertaining to your 01 in your signature, right?
Allright ill check that out thanks.

yea i read the previous posts and they did say it was common for 94-97 but I have a 2001. It only happens for like 5 min when i first start driving. Also ive noticed when I park the car outside in the heat it messes up and when its in the garage and sort of cool it works fine. same for cold weather too. is that related or is that a common missunderstandingation of the problem as to why it gets sticky?

well we reheated all the solder joints we could find and lo and behold the speedometer and the odometer work!!!! the rpms/tach were still a little jumpy on the drive home, but it hasn't completely stopped working again like it has before.
Anyone know another possible reason that the rpm's would be a little jumpy?
it's a V6 and i'm not sure where it draws the source from.

I had the same problem. I changed my VSS yesterday and now everything works normally. Just to let you know it kinda right under the intake manifold, it took me a good half hour to find it. I have a 1997 LX.
