Question Spindle Nut Size

Im looking around online and in the manual and I see different size spindle nuts. I gotta get one to change my rotors. I see 24mm in the FSM and 31mm on certain sites selling the sockets and then on forums I see 36mm. Whats the size for my 97 accord?

Thanks

32mm for the rear on my 02 accord, which should be the same on yours. Do you really have to remove that nut to access the rotor?

Theyre captive rotors on the front. I need to remove the lower ball joint and tie rod, flip it around and unbolt the hub to get the rotor out. Its a fun job :P

As I recall the front is 36mm, or 1-7/16". My local Advance Auto Parts loans them out.

24mm is probably the fastener diameter.

Ok thanks. The FSM says spindle nut: 24x1.5mm. I know the 5th gens have a slightly different wheel/suspension make up than the 6th gens. Ill buy both sizes and see which one works.

You also have to remember that "24x1.5mm" is the thread size. Then somewhere else, 36mm is the wrench size.

Sorry, for 1997 I don't actually know the answer to your question. My newer Hondas use 36mm wrench on the front axle nut, but I don't know what other years that covers.
