Default sport mode?

Hi everyone
to make it clear, I'm kinda new to the honda scene, so I'll try to do my best :P

I just got a 92 Ex (LX for you US folks) and I was wondering something (to start with lol)

a friend of mine has a 90 or 91 EX (different taillight blah blah) but I noticed he had a "sport mode"
on his shifter, which I doesnt and I was wondering the following...

Is this mode thing located in the ECU? (aka, ecu + shifter swap and alittle wiring and I'm good)

oh yeah, needless to say its a 2.2l automatic (CB7_5) , havent check his yet

"Sport" mode just changes the shift points a bit. I believe it raises them a little bit higher. I really don't think it offers a serious performance benefit and from what I have read is more trouble than it is worth.

But to answer your qestion, I think you would actually need the transmission control module that has sport mode, and then the switch for the shifter, etc. etc. I don't think the ecu is any different, but someone correct me if i've mistaken.

From what I checked out last night after my post, seems like it

I was wondering if anyone would have the pinout for the TCM, and the diagram for the switch wiring
I could just swap TCMs and get a switch and mount it somewhere

sport mode also causes the transmission to shift even firmer than it already does. It was dropped in the 94+ model years
