Default Sport Transmission Indicator Light

I have a 91 Honda Accord Ex 4dr and my sport transmission indicator light has come on without me having to push the button on the side of the gear shift. Is there any way I can dissconnect it from the transmission because I don't drive in the sport transmission anyway. It did the same thing a couple of years ago and I had to get another transmission because I drove around too long with it being like that. I just changed out the computer thinking that that was the problem, but it wasn't. IF anyone knows how to remedy this problem, please help!

Is it flashing or just lit? Use the jumper in the right side passenger under dash to trip the computer into diagnostic mode and count the flashes and compare to your Service manual. Must remove trim and pull back front passenger carpet

Do you want to sell your extra computer I need to replace mine with a known good computer to eliminate the possibility of a computer causing no shift problem
