Stalling, please help!!

Default Stalling, please help!!

Hey guys whats up. I have an 89 honda, 4d, AT. WHen the car is still running cold in the mornings, sometimes it just shuts off on me. After a minute or so i can crank it up, and off i go. This is really annoying now and i need help! I have no idea whats going on? Thanks

is it carb or FI? if its carb then it probably needs a rebuild. there is a little diaphram that controls the choke. now there is a vacuum hose that runs to that and that may be your problem.

how are you starting the car up?? I mean do you depress the accell pedal?? how many times ? when it starts what rpm does it go up to ? and yes is it a dx ,lx, lxi,??

it is a carb guys. It is an lx model. When it start it, it usually goes up to about 1800 rpm, then it drops. Also, i usually only have to step on the gas once maybe, then it start right up. any sugestions welcomed!

the first thing I would do is to check all the vacuum hoses going to/from the carb and around it. Make sure they are in place, wiggle them around a bit and make sure they aren't cracked or leaking air etc. If that's all fine then it could be the choke or a possible rebuild from there I believe.... check over all that stuff and let us know.
