Starter
Hi all,
I have a 2009 Honda Accord coupe 3.5l exl auto transmission that has a bad starter which I need to change, however my mechanic says he cant get the exact type unless from the dealership which costs about $320. I have searched the internet(ebay and car-part.com) and its selling between $50 to $100. EVen Oreilly and AUtozone have for about $150. The ones on the internet are from used por wrecked cars. What do you guys think about buying this starter and also if its from like an accord crosstour, would it work on my accord? do you feel its worth spending $320 to get from the deallership?

I would go w/ an exact (same engine) match from a used car. Get quotes on installation and try to find someone who's done a V6 Accord before. There may be some difficulties in accessing the starter.
What are your starter symptoms? Have you checked battery cables and battery carefully?
good luck
