Default starter wiring connection

I have a 92 accord EX manual tranny. The starter became intermittent on whether it would start or not. I was going to pull it out and replace it but when I went too remove the starter I found that if I push slightly bundle of wires on the bottom that feels like they go from the solenoid to the starter motor it would start fine.

Is it possible to just fix the connection?
seems i rem if you start taking starters apart that crap will fall out and you will never know where it goes.

Most likely the starter solenoid contacts are worn, or the connections are actually loose. Suggest first making sure the wires are tight.

Solenoid contacts are replaceable. If interested look on sherco auto parts site for the contacts. Otherwise starter replacement or rebuild is indicated.

good luck

ah i took starter apart couldn't see any loose connections or shorts. The brushes don't look that great either. Im just going to replace the starter. no reason to deal with the time and headache when I can replace for less than 80 bucks.
