Default Starting issues

I have a 94 accord that I have just replaced the alternator, ignition switch, battery, ignition control module and plugs. In the meantime when trying to start it; she starts almost all the time. However there are a few times when trying to start her; there's a delay or the starter won't kick in at all. I can hear a single click from the starter and nothing else. After several attempts the starter finally kicks in.

I've already been through two starters; one aftermarket, and one from Honda. I don't know what else it could be. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated.

First make sure your battery cables are clean, secure, and battery is in good condition.

A starter that clicks but doesn't turn the engine over is frequently caused by worn starter solenoid contacts that won't make enough contact to carry the large starting current. The 94 Accord solenoid contacts can be replaced, or starter can be replaced.

Starter is readily accessible on 94 Accord, but disconnect battery negative cable at battery before attempting removal.

good luck

The cables are less then 3 years old and are in great condition; I've replaced 2 starters already and had a diagnostics check from the dealer and autozone that turned up nothing. Ive tried tapping on the starter and still nothing. I'll try checking the ground and let you know.
