You could have two problems, but a slow-turning starter seems definite. As I said, if you're convinced battery is good and cable connections are clean/secure, then starter replacement/repair is next step.

You may be able to repair the starter (worn contacts), but you will need a soldering iron to solder the new contacts in position. You can find the contacts online and videos of repair procedure. Cut/paste to your browser. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rmc8QO1VXMo")

If you don't want to try that a rebuilt or used starter is next option. Available widely. Check car-part.com for a used starter near you.

Failure to maintain idle after starting could be idle speed, fuel pressure or spark (wires, plugs, rotor, distributor cap).

Is idle speed very low once warmed? If yes, the throttle body and IACV cleaning may help.

I have never seen a low fuel pressure problem documented, but I'm sure it occasionally happens. Fuel pressure check is required to confirm. Fuel filter on these cars is PIA to replace, so you want to be sure that fuel pressure is low.

Check spark problem by spraying wires and distributor w/ water mist at night and looking for sparks jumping.

good luck

Not saying it is not possible; but, 5th generation Accords were not known to have a common problem with low fuel pressure.

To check fuel pressure, you can use a fuel pressure gauge. Attached are the instructions.

However, your problem can also be from a problem with the starter and possibly exacerbated by a problem with the coil , dirty distributor cap contacts, etc. When was the last time the distributor cap and rotor was changed? If it hasn't been recently, just for giggles, remove the distributor cap and check the condition.

Another test you can try on the starter is jumping the starter.

Use the red jumper cable ends to make things simpler. Connect the red jumper cable to post with the small blk/wht (?) wire. Make sure it doesn't touch the larger post with the + battery cable. Turn the key to the II position in the car. Then touch the other red jumper cable to the POSITIVE battery terminal. The starter should crank the engine just like turning the key to start the car.

Battery test
When you get home disconnect the battery then reconnect it in the morning. If you are getting a strong start your OK, if not you have some thing draining it.

fuel test
Get a fuel gauge and install it. In the morning at first crank, it should be around 41psi. Run the car and note the reading Before and after and after any changes. Regulator is cheep but start by changing the fuel filter first. Then run it and see if that helps then go to the Regulator if there is no improvement. If all else fail replace the fuel pump.
