Default Steering rack boots, impossible to install ?

The inspection on my Accord failed due to a bunch of suspension problems.
Among the problems is that both steering rack boots are torn and practically falling off.
I ordered some new ones and I am finding it IMPOSSIBLE to get them on ( the large end).
Is there a way to stretch them or something ?
Keep in mind also that I am doing this on my back underneath the car.
The new ones seem slightly smaller than the old ones that came off
but I am sure that is due to being on the car for 20 years.
Does anyone have any tips ?

Thanks

I've done this on my 95 without any issues.....did you get the boots from the dealer?

For me, the hardest part was playing with the little vent tube.

I had some difficulty w/ new boots from Honda. I had to get right up close, lube inside of boot, and push hard. it might not hurt to "stretch" the boot, carefully to avoid damage. There is a groove in the reach the boot end ring will slip into when fully installed.

good luck
