The brakes on my car take a lot of pressure to operate correctly. I have heard of a brake adjustment on newer vehicles but I don't think my car has one. The master cylinder still works because the brakes are consistent and don't take that much pressure but a lot. Also you can push the brake pedal about an inch before they actually start doing anything. So what's the issue? It's an 86 Honda Accord LXI (fuel injected, and automatic).

Brake booster? I have never worked on brakes before and not sure if my car has a brake booster and even where to look. Can you help me out?
