Default Stolen catalytic converter 2004 Honda EX 4 cylinder

Someone's stolen my son's catalytic converter office 2004 Honda Accord EX right in front of his house. He went out to start the car and it sounded like the muffler had dropped off of it. When I took a look at it, the muffler was intact but in front of the muffler they had used a sawzall and cut off the catalytic converter. Can anyone out there give me an idea of approximately what it might cost labor-wise to have a new converter welded there. I know the converter itself runs about four or five hundred dollars. Thanks for your help

The converter will be the expensive item depending on where you source it and the quality. Welding shouldn't cost too much. Depending on where they cut the converter, you may be able to bolt in the replacement if the pipes/flanges before and after the converter are intact.

You will just have to call to get quotes to get an idea of costs.
