Default Stolen Catalytic Converter - I think?

Hi,

I think that my Catalytic Converter (CC) was stolen at night. Pics attached.

1) Was this where the CC would go?

2) I am thinking that a muffler shop might be able to weld a new one in more easily. I think that the two pieces on either side of the CC are big and would be expensive.

Thoughts?

Thx, Bill

Deleted the duplicate post.

That is where the converter sits.

The converter will be the most expensive piece. The Honda converters are very expensive.

You have a few options. Have them weld in an aftermarket converter. Or they could weld in flanges and bolt in a new converter. That leaves you the option to easily replace later if the aftermarket converter fails.
