Stuck trunk
My '03 Accord's trunk is stuck shut. Pulling the cable lever doesn't work. It sounds like it's functioning but not. None of the keys I have accumulated work either the lock on the floor next to driver seat or the lock on the shelf behind back seat. I've had it in a shop (not a Honda shop) and the three mechs could not find a solution. The cheese and lettuce in the trunk are long since past their expiration date. I thought about taking it to a body shop. Never encountered an issue like this. Any ideas?
I'm guessing that your car had the lock cylinder switched for the ignition at some point, so the key to start the car is different from the rest of the locks?
A Honda dealership can make a key for the VIN of your accord. You can explain that you need the key to unlock the back seat, so the key does not need to have an immobilizer or programmed, so it would be much less expensive. A locksmith should also be able to do this.
