Default 2010 Honda Accord Trunk won't open

Hi,

My 2010 trunk will not open with the key fob or the trunk release lever. I tried to pull down my back seat to get in there but looks like on the 2010 couple model it doesn't come down! Any ideas on how I can get into my trunk?

From the service manual there looks to be a cable from the rear seat latch running to the pass side rear

  1. The coupe’s rear seat does fold down; however, the rear seat release lever is in the trunk.
  2. Regarding the trunk not opening, when you press the key fob trunk release button, do you hear the latch actuator?
Try pushing down and lifting up on the trunk lid after press the key fob button or while someone is pulling the trunk release lever.

Even if the trunk release lever is
locked with the master key, you can
open the trunk with the remote
transmitter.

Both will not work. Is there any way to unbolt the the trunk from the inside? There has to be a way.

I had a similar thing happen to my 4Runner rear door. What you're describing is likely one of 2 things: a broken latch mechanism or something caught in the lock mechanism. If you're hearing it click it's probably the latter. I was able to get my 4Runner open only because I was able to roll down the window and pull the cargo net out.

If you can get any mov't you may be able to pry the object loose with a hanger or other long, thin device. Good luck.
