My 2000 Honda Accord 6 cylinder is leaking transmission fluid when you drive axle enters the transmission the seal is good but you can see scars where the seal sits from where somebody has probably tried it out with a screwdriver and a hammer but it is leaking transmission fluid profusely I have a new axle and seal to go in but how do I correct this problem

You can try something like JB weld to fill the scar and use a some sandpaper to sand to match the curve of the transmission housing. RTV is another option where you'd fill the scar, then drive in the seal. Let the seal sit for 24 hours to completely cure and hopefully create a good seal.
