Sudden drop in MPG

could possibly just be some fuel system cleaner added to/backed up into the gas tank that lowered the combustion abilities of the gasoline, thus making the engine pour more gasoline in.

Default I can attest to his problem . . .

2006 Accord V6; as advertised: 26 city, 29 highway. Mixed performance in the past (both city and highway) usually came to 26 to 27 MPG. Yesterday, all highway driving, I had the following:

26 MPG (87 octane)
24 MPG (87 octane)
32 MPG (88 octane and Fuel System Cleaner)

The current tank I'm on looks to be headed down the 24 MPG track. I'm goign to get a mehanic to look at it next week.
