Default thermostat 95 accord lx manual

i read deserthonda's how to on a thermostat, but i still have a question. i looked at it the other day and the bottom bolt looks a little tough to get off due to a spacing issue. are there any tips or tricks on how to take off the housing? and also, when you take the housing off, how exactly do you install the new t-stat? do you just shove it in there and put the housing back in with a new gasket or is there a certain way to put it in? thanks for your help in advance.

welcome! Putting it back in is just that, put the little rubber gasket around it and shove it back in there the way the old one came out!

great sir nasty, thanks for the quick response! any tips on how to get the housing off or just deal with it until it comes off?

also, did this forum switch ownerships or something? i remember i used to be on this forum days ago, like 4 years ago when the format was totally different.

I have no idea if it switched hands ever.... as far as removing the housing goes all I can say is that having different sockets and flex ends etc. on hand can vastly reduce the amount of time it takes to do a job....
