Sounds like the K&N cleanable filter has some data out there vs paper filters. Do some research and come to your own conclusion. I'd look at the minimum size of the particles each filter can remove. Also look at potential harm if the K&N filter allows "larger" particles to pass. I'd think the K&N filter would pick up the big stuff that could cause damage in the engine.

Your car has a timing chain that can stretch over time. My TSX is a similar engine to the 07 accord and there is an access window to look at how far the tensioner is extended to take up the slack in the chain.

My opinion is to not replace a part unless there is an issue. It may be a bit overkill on the temperature sensors. If replacing, I suggest Honda OEM parts when the cost is comparable to the aftermarket.

What do you specifically do to your a/c system every year for the cleaning?

My older brother who has been building engines and working on cars since he was 16 tells me the same thing about waiting until there is an issue. I am just so paranoid because my family and I stay on the road and breaking down while being away from home is the last thing I want to happen. My wife drove my BMW on a trip out of state while I was out of country for a couple of weeks and the water pump went out on her (something I kept putting off and I knew eventually it was going to happen because they were having issues with that part) and I spent a lot to get it fixed. Mainly because no one would touch it because the type of car it was. I know things happen and you can't prevent everything but I try to do my best because I'm not always close to home when my wife decides to go on these trips and use a car she doesn't normally drive.

I didn't mean to write "clean" I meant "check". Cleaning a closed system these days I feel is pointless due to the condenser fins being so tiny it's almost impossible to clean. Most cars these days condensers are throwaway parts since they are so cheap to replace.
