but now all of a sudden when i test drove the car up the street it said my e brake was on (it wasent) what could cause this?
also when i started the car up its idle was going up and down. (between 2000 and 1000)

Brake warning lamp is also triggered by low brake fluid. Check that. There's a float switch in the cap of the brake fluid reservoir. Sometimes the float hangs up on the mesh basket inside the reservoir. There's a replacement basket, or you can whittle some of it with an x-acto knife so it doesn't interfere with the motion of the float.

Or maybe the switch at the handbrake handle is flaky??

For the idle, look in the DIY section for a post about setting the BASE idle and forcing the car to re-learn the idle. But don't bother doing that until you get the O2 sensor sorted out. Right now, I don't know the pin=out for that plug.

you were right about the brake level being low. now the car is starting to over heat.(didnt do that before) could it be from leaking radiator hose?

Yeah, or anything with cooling system. Did you drain coolant during the clutch R&R? Bleed all air out of the system? Is the T-stat old?

Did you do anything with the wiring harness at the temperature sensors? Those are in the end of the head sorta below the distributor. The sender with only one wire is for the dashboard gauge. Any chance that wire is pinched & grounded?

Did you sort out the O2 Plug? If not which side pulled out - Wire/terminal side or sensor side...then seen if you can confirm any other colors on the wires...or F22B1 or something else.

Is the dipstick seated properly in the engine? Are you on level ground? Your clutch change should have no bearing on your engine oil. Did you change out the oil pan or do any other work?

A bunch of oil hangs out in various places all over the engine. When you removed the transmission, a lot more of it can drain out as you tilt the engine down to allow the trans to slide off.

Just curious Jim, when you say drain out, you mean moved to a different spot in the engine? And if so, would'nt just running it "square" it all up?

Which side of the O2? Wires coming from the sensor to the connector?
