Default Timing Belt for J35 V6 engine

I am looking for help for mine sister 04 Saturn Vue with a Honda V6 J35 engine. Yes it is has it do to Chevy want Honda to buy Issue diesel engine at that time. At 90k I did the timing belt/water kit. About 6 month later it jump a one teeth. Put it back and a 2 year later when she start it up noise start like a pulley noise then it will go away. So I did the Youtube and with a big screwdriver I can hear the ticking noise. By Youtube it point to the tensioner. Also in one video someone same Dayco had bad tensioner around 2014/15. So I replace it but the ticking noise is still there.

I can across a Youtube where a person put on a Gates belt and had a noise problem. Had Toyota dealer put on a new factory belt the problem went away.

Question Can it be the cheap timing belt in this case too?Do it need a Honda Belt now or a Gates will do the job?

Thanks for any idea.

If I am not mistaken, the OEM belt is a Bando; Amazon sells them:

I change out the belt to find out the both sheaves had rubber marks from belt. So that tell me belt had problems. The sheaves look find so just clean them up.

I would change the idler and adjuster pulleys along with the tensioner.

I got it running and quiet but I still hear a noise and may pull it a part to look at the pulley when running. When the pulley go bad any sound they will make? I did spin the pulleys and they still like when I install the in 2014.

The old timing belt was glaze and got Bendo. Then noise was still there then change out the pulleys. I took it freeway and the noise is back. The noise is changes with speed of the engine rpm. It has a ticking noise at idle and bad bearing noise at higher speed. I screw drive on the engine mount I can here it but not in engine block. Can it be the water pump going bad?

I'm thinking you need to stop guessing and get the issue professionally diagnosed. Throwing more parts at the engine will only cost you more in the long run.
