Timing belt job: stuck crank shaft pulley
Hi,
I am working on replacing timing belt on my 99 Accord.
After removing the crank shaft bolt, the Honda manual asked to remove the lower cover of the engine. It completely didn't mention anything about taking out the pulley.
How do I take out the pulley? I tried yanking it after tapping it with a mallet - No Luck. Called Autozone, they don't have anything for Honda.
(Its a bummer. I looked up at the 97 Accord manual. It does mention that pulley needs to be taken out. That's it- one line!! No mention of how to do it.)

Are you talking about the pulley that drives the alternator and power steering pump? If so, it should just slide off of the crankshaft.
Maybe heat it a bit with a propane torch or try some PB Blaster. Be careful not to lose the key that allows the pulley to spin with the crankshaft once you remove it.

I have had them stuck on the crank shaft before. I've seen that movie.
[didn't want ya to feel lonesome or pregnant here]
I have used a large socket to reach in around the shaft and smack the pulley backwards to break it loose.
Then you get to play the game of wiggling the pulley off .002" at a time.
Also if you can grab the pulley key, vise grips/side cutters, and get it out, you'll be able to twist the pulley and wiggle it at the same time.
