Timing Belt Tensioner Failure @ 50k miles

I will ask that question on Monday. I wish I knew more about the internal workings of a car, but I just don't have time. This forum has been very helpful.

One call to Honda and one call to the dealership to let them know that a Honda rep would be calling them....and POOF....my car is fixed for FREE! When I asked the dealership what had changed, she said that she made another call to the local rep and, in addition to begging and pleading, she warned them I had called Honda Warranty HQ. (I must mention that I received excellent service from Honda's Warranty Dept.)

So thank you once again for the info. I will be keeping a record of this repair so I don't have to do it again at 100k miles. Thanks!

if they ever did that to me... my timing belt would "suddenly" break while i was driving and they would be replacing my engine
