Default timing belts

So the recommended change interval is 105,000 or 7 years. My '99 EX has 225,000 and it was last changed at 139,000 per dealer records. Not sure why 139 unless it went over the 105 or previous owner was paranoid and changed every 70 or so. Anyway, its due at 244,000 and I'm debating changing it at all. Would it go 110,000? 130,000? 150,000? Whats the longest you guys have seen them go? I'm looking to keep it another 2 years maybe and I'm wondering if I could maybe get by without changing it. I'll bet at 244,000 in about 8 months. I know there's no way of knowing exactly how far it will last, but interested in your thoughts. Dealer quoted just over $700 and that includes timing and drive belts, water pump, coolant, valve cover gasket, the whole 9 yards so to speak.

Hard to say "how long" it will last. Just know if you get it wrong the $700 will seem like nothing compared to the repair bill.

Also if it does make it to "some point" and you try to sell it without records showing when it was last done, the buyer is going to knock off ~$500....at least I would.

Call around to local repair shops and see what they quote for the timing belt job.
